Absorption Wells

Absorption or infiltration wells consist of excavations, normally cylindrical and of variable depth, which may or may not be filled with permeable material (gravel or stone) and which allow, in confined spaces, rainwater to be infiltrated directly into the ground or stored for a later use. An infiltration well is an engineering work that allows the artificial recharge of the aquifer.
