The health of urban and peri-urban populations is being threatened by the deterioration of ecosystems and the services they provide, exacerbated by the effects of climate change. This situation is causing the social and environmental determinants of health, such as safe and high-quality water, clean air and sufficient and healthy food, are under new challenges. This webinar will focus on the relationship between population health and healthy ecosystems, addressing the state of integration of the climate change and public health agendas, and illustrating the issue with a case study of prevention of vector diseases that can be aggravated with climate change.
